Wedding Sneak Peek: Kara and Nathan!

We are so excited to show you a few photos from a recent wedding. Kara and Nathan had a destination wedding at The Carriage House in Jefferson City. Family and friends came from all over and they wanted an organic flow that allowed them plenty of time with their guests.

Since Kara lived out of town, Margie helped with many of the planning details. Green, white, and natural wood tones were extended throughout their decor. They played off the natural colors at the venue and chose sage green bridesmaids dresses that were complemented by the groomsmen’s grey suits. The bridesmaids opted for updos, and Kara’s loose side braid with baby’s breath tucked in suited her to perfection. Natural makeup in peachy tones completed the elegant, yet unpretending ensemble.

Kara and Nathan exchanged vows with the rolling Tennessee hills as a backdrop, including a sweet sand ceremony to celebrate becoming a new family.

During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed appetizers that rivaled fare one guest remarked he had only found in the West. Children played at cornhole while adults chatted and listened to live music.

Kara’s mom, Margie, designed and created table centerpieces that brought the outside in. Including wooden discs, varying heights of glass jars, baby’s breath, and candlelight, they were simple, yet beautifully grounding arrangements. After photos, Nathan and Kara headed up the buffet line where guests could choose among several barbecue choices, beans and smoked sausage, potato salad, and pimento mac and cheese, and cupcakes for dessert. As the heat of the day wore off, the glassed bay doors were opened and guests mingled effortlessly between inside and the dance floor on the patio. The band was such a hit, guests didn’t want to leave and that’s a sign of a good party! We are so happy for Kara and Nathan and wish them great joy as they start their lives together.
